Original antique pencil drawing on paper of Meldon Park in Northumberland, from a collection of drawings by Charles Greenwood and Frederick Peake produced between 1840-1850. Inscribed 'Northumberland, Isaac Cookson, Esq'. A view of the mansion at Meldon Park with terrace and steps in the foreground, with architectural sketches of details to top right of the drawing. Pencil, heightened with brown water colour and shading. Very good condition (see images). Size 31 x 22.5cm. Meldon Park (Grade II listed) was designed by the architect John Dobson and built for Isaac Cookson, completed in 1835 and remodelled by Edwin Lutyens in the 20th Century.
