Lake House (Part-1), the home of LT.- Colonel and Lady Janet Bailey
An original issue of Country Life magazine dated March 27th 1937 featuring a main article on Lake House (Part-1) in Wiltshire, the home of LT.-Colonel and Lady Janet Bailey. Built in about 1578 but damaged considerably by fire in 1912 it was restored and added to by the architects Messrs. Darcy Braddell and Humphry Deane in the 1930's. This issue contains a six page write up with black and white illustrations of the house exterior, garden and grounds with additions by Darcy Braddell and Humphry Deane. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Miss Felicity Bailey.
