Rare Country Life magazine dated September 3rd 1938 featuring a main illustrated article on Dartington Hall in Devon, The Home of an Experiment (Part 2) The Estate owned by Mr and Mrs Leonard Elmhirst near Totnes in Devon, built by John Holland, Duke of Exeter in 1385-88. This issue contains a five page comprehensive write up on the history of Dartington Hall with black and white photograph illustrations of the recently renovated estate, including photographs of The Great Hall, The Kitchen, early Georgian Rooms, the Staircase Hall, the garden, garden ornaments and a ground floor plan. This magazine is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of The Hon. Rosalind Finley.
