Rare Country Life magazine dated August 27th 1938 featuring a main illustrated article on Dartington Hall in Devon, The Home of an Experiment (Part 1) The Estate owned by Mr and Mrs Leonard Elmhirst near Totnes in Devon, built by John Holland in 1385-88. This issue contains a six page comprehensive write up on the history of Dartington Hall with black and white photograph illustrations of the recently renovated estate, lodgings, gardens, grounds and a sketch plan. This magazine is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Lady Belper and Lord Hawke in North Berwick.
