Hinton Priory (Hinton Charterhouse), The Seat of Mrs Symonds

Original antique pencil drawing on paper of Hinton Priory (Hinton Charterhouse) in Somerset from a collection of drawings by Charles Greenwood and Frederick Peake produced between 1840-1850. This one being a view of the Abbey, inscribed 'Hinton Abbey, Mrs Symonds, Somersetshire'. Pencil heightened with watercolour touches. Good condition (see images). Size 26 x 18cm.

Hinton Priory was purchased in the 18th Century by Walter Robinson and it remained in the family for 230 years.
