Crooksbury House, the Seat Mr Arthur W Chapman
An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated September 15th 1900 featuring a main article on Crooksbury House, Farnham in Surrey. Sir Edwin Lutyens first country house commission completed in 1890 for the owner, Mr Arthur. W. Chapman. Gardens with Gertrude Jekyll and added to again by Lutyens with the new east wing featuring in this issue. An eight page write up with black and white photograph illustrations of the property and gardens (old and new and designed by Gertrude Jekyll). This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Lady Evelyn Cavendish and Children.
