The British Embassy, Washington (Part 1)

An original issue of Country Life magazine dated Jan 14th 1939 featuring a main article on The British Embassy in Washington, USA, (Part 1). An important work by Sir Edwin Lutyens built between 1928-1930. A five page write up with black and white illustrations of the building exterior, gardens, grounds and including a plan. This issue is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of the marchioness of Dufferin and Ava with her Children.
