Muncaster Castle (Part 2), The Home of Sir John Ramsden, BT.

An original war-time issue of Country Life magazine dated June 15th 1940 featuring a main article on Muncaster Castle (Part-2) in Cumberland, The home of Sir John Ramsden BT. The present house was remodelled by Salvin in 1860 and contains remarkable historic and artistic treasures. A six page write up containing black and white illustrations of the Castle interior, decor and furnishings. This issue is in good condition with a portrait frontispiece of The Earl of Haddington with his daughter.
