Methley Hall, the Seat of the Earl of Mexborough

An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated May 18th 1907 featuring a main article on Methley Hall in Methley, Yorkshire. An eight page write up with many black and white illustrations of the buiding exterior, interior, decor and furnishings. Methley Hall is one of England's lost country houses, it was demolished in 1963 after suffering subsidence from mining and left derelict for many years. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of The Hon. Mrs Arthur Cadogan
