Original rare war-time issue of Country Life magazine for December 28th 1940 featuring a main article on Markenfield Hall in Yorkshire, built by John de Markenfield, by licence dated 1310. This issue contains a five page write up including black and white photograph illustrations of the Hall exterior, grounds and plans of the building. This magazine is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of The Hon. Nefertari Bethell.
