Hutton-in-the-Forest, The Seat of Sir Henry Vane, Bart

An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated January 5th 1907 featuring a main article on Hutton-in-the-Forest in Cumberland, a twelve page write up with black and white illustrations of the house (exterior and interior), the gardens and grounds. Country Life magazine commenced publication in 1897 and the early issues have become a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers, renovators and historians. This issue has an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was over 100 years ago. The issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Miss Evelyn Cavendish-Bentinck.
