Hilles House (Part 2), The Home of Detmar Blow
An original war-time issue of Country Life magazine dated September 14th 1940 featuring a main illustrated article on Hilles House (Part-2), near Stroud in Gloucestershire, The home of Detmar Blow. Designed and built for his family by the late Detmar Blow, on the crest of the Cotswolds. Hilles was begun in 1914, but never finished. Five page write up containing black and white illustrations of the house interior and exterior. This issue is in good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Mr and Mrs Robert Hudon having tea in the library at Mersham-le-Hatch.
