Original issue of Country Life magazine dated August 15th 1931 featuring a main article on Fountains Hall in Yorkshire, built by Sir Stephen Procter and until 1768 the home of the Messenger family. Issue includes a seven page write up on the history of the Hall with black and white illustrations of the property exterior, interior and plan. This magazine is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Lady May Cambridge.
