An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated July the 21st 1917 featuring a main article on Downton Hall in Shropshire. A seven page write up with black and white illustrations of the house exterior, interior, plasterwork, furnishings and paintings. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was at that time. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of The Countess of Airlie.
