Country Life magazine dated October 2nd 1942 featuring a main article on The Manor House at Charney Bassett in Berkshire (Part 2). The Home of Mrs Paul Waterhouse. Built in the thirteenth century for the Abbot of Abingdon. This issue contains a four page write up by Christopher Hussey with black and white photograph illustrations of the interiors of The Solar, Abbot's Parlour and Abbot's Chapel. The magazine is in good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Miss Rosemary Chetwynd-Stapylton.
