Ashton House at Steeple Ashton, The Home of Mr G O Herbert

Country Life magazine dated October 3oth 1942 featuring a main article on Ashton House at Steeple Ashton in Wiltshire. Dating from the 15th Century with later alterations by Sir Harold Brakespear. This issue contains a four page write up by Christopher Hussey with black and white photograph illustrations of the property exterior, interior and decor and sketch plans of the ground and first floors. The magazine is in good condition with a portrait frontispiece of The Marchioness of Kildare.
