Eastwell Park, The Property of Lord Gerard
A large double page antique print illustrating Eastwell Park in Kent, Formerly the residence of the Duke of Edinburgh, Now the property of Lord Gerard. From the Illustrated London News. Drawn and signed G. Montbard. Titled 'English Homes No. XXXVII'. Dated January 12th 1895. With two further pages with a write up and illustrated with vignettes of the house, lakes, gardeners cottage and boathouse, etc. Excellent condition with centre fold as issued. A large, impressive yet understated series from The Illustrated London News by George Montbard. Size approx 58x40cm.
In the 1920's Eastwell Manor was considerably damaged by a fire and a new property was built on the same site in the late 1920's. Eastwell Manor is now a Country House Hotel.
