A large double page antique print illustrating Beaudesert in Staffordshire, The Seat of The Marquis of Anglesey. From the Illustrated London News, Titled 'English Homes No. XXII'. Dated November 23rd 1889. Also with a single page illustration 'A view from the lake' on the reverse of the main print. Excellent condition with centre fold as issued. A large, impressive and understated rare series from The Illustrated London News by George Montbard. Size approx 58x40cm.
Demolition began on Beaudesert in 1935 but was not completed and some ruins still remain. Materials from Beaudesert were used to re-face St James's Palace.
