Cresswell Hall

Antique pencil drawing on paper of Cresswell Hall in Northumberland from a collection of drawings by Charles Greenwood and Frederick Peake produced between 1840-1850. Insrcibed 'Cresswell, Northumberland' and drawn by Charles Greenwood, signed C.J.G. A view of the Hall with people, horse and dog in foreground. Pencil, heightened with white watercolour. Very good condition (see images). Size 31 x 22cm.

Cresswell Hall was built between 1821 and 1825, it was demolished in 1937, only the stable blocks and colonnade remain and are now Grade II listed.
