Barlborough Hall, Chesterfield, The Seat of Miss De Rodes

An original very early issue of Country Life Magazine dated October 17th 1900 featuring a main article on Barlborough, Chesterfield in Derbyshire, the Seat of Miss De Rodes. With a seven page write up with black and white illustrations of the hall and gardens. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was over 100 years ago. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of H.R.H. The Duchess of Sparta.
